Hi, I'm Lizzie.
Speaker 2:And I'm Nikki.
Speaker 1:Have you ever felt that your life was missing purpose, joy or deep connection? Welcome to the Modern Zen Collective Podcast, where we embrace holistic living for a joyful, purpose-driven life.
Speaker 2:In today's episode, we will be sharing one of the practices we use to help us release, receive, come back into alignment and connect with the divinity within and all around us.
Speaker 1:We hope you enjoy it and continue to join us weekly on the Modern Zen Collective Podcast, elevating your mind, body and spirit. And now today's practice.
Speaker 2:Take a deep breath and settle into your space, rolling your shoulders down your back, releasing any tension in your face, in your jaw, rolling your head from side to side and, as you are seated, straightening your spine With your shoulders down your back, lowering them from your ears, and connect with your breathing. Take a big inhale and a big, audible exhale. Let it all out. Take another inhale, your biggest of the day hold it at the top for a second and let it out.
Speaker 2:One more. Take a big inhale, hold it for a second Big exhale, with your eyes closed, continuing to connect with your breathing, feeling, your inhales and exhales how your chest raises with your inhale how your body connects closer to the earth with your exhale.
Speaker 2:Be conscious of the areas that you are connected to the earth, whether that be your hips, your thighs, your feet. Feel these areas as you continue to breathe in and exhale In this relaxed state, with your eyes closed, face relaxed, shoulders relaxed. Say to yourself my name is and say a name that is not yours my name is, my name is. Say this to and continue to repeat this to yourself, nice and slow, and feel the subtle shifts in energy. For where you feel this in your body, where you feel this in your body, to begin this practice, this might be very subtle. So, having this conscious awareness and being slow and steady and taking your time and being aware of any slight changes in your body, where you feel a little bit more energy gather. So continue to repeat saying a name that is not yours my name is, my name is, my name is. And if you don't feel anything, that's fine. We are going to come back to this. And if you don't feel anything, that's fine.
Speaker 3:We are going to come back to this.
Speaker 2:Now release that with a big exhale, let it all out. Now say to yourself my name is your name, my name is. Say your name. This is the truth. This is a yes. Say your name. Continue to the truth. This is a yes. Say your name. Continue to say this. Nice and slow, repeat, repeat, repeat, and the more you say this feel in your body where this energy is clustering, my name is.
Speaker 2:Say your name and feel this energy Subtle shifts. The more you practice this and the more you utilize this practice, the more you'll feel the energy in your body much more clearly. It's like a muscle working to get stronger. Now take a big exhale, let it all out and say the opposite again. Say my name is, say something different, something wrong. Where do you feel that in your body? That is your no. Say it a few times, big exhale, let it all out. Say your truth. My name is with your real name. This is your truth. My name is with your real name. This is your yes.
Speaker 2:To give you an example of areas that you might feel this a yes could feel like energy around your heart. A yes could feel like energy between your third eye. A yes could feel like energy on your shoulders. It can feel anywhere. A no could feel like energy in your lower back, energy in your middle back, your upper shoulders. It could feel like energy in your stomach. It's really a slight shift in energy and the more you practice this and go back and forth, the more you will feel what your yes is and what your no is. Let's do one more. Say my hair is the color. Say the opposite of what your hair color is my hair is the color. Say the opposite of what your hair color is my hair is the color. Continue to repeat. Where do you feel this? Repeat, repeat, repeat Nice and slow and steady. Now release with a big exhale. Say to yourself my hair is the color, your actual hair color. Say what it is.
Speaker 2:What is your hair color that you have right now. What is it? And say to yourself my hair color is? And say that color and feel where do you feel this in your body? This is your yes. Again, repeat this again and again, slow and steady, toggle back and forth. Say the opposite color, say your true hair color, feel your yeses and nos in your body and realize that these are your yes and no's for anything.
Speaker 2:This is your internal compass that can help you to guide yourself through situations, through decision making. It can be as easy as do I want to get a coffee or do I want to get a matcha? I'm getting a coffee. See where you feel it in your body. I'm getting a matcha. See where you feel it in your body. I'm getting a matcha. See where you feel it in your body. Or it could be big decisions.
Speaker 2:You get to see and feel where the yes is in your body and where the no is. So you get to have that direct hotline with your intuition and your body, which holds the memory and knows what is yes and what is a no. To close out, say one more time to yourself my name is. Say your actual name. Say it three times my name is. My name is. My name is feel this energy inside of you. Where is it radiating? This is your absolute yes, your yes for questions that you can at any time ask yourself. So if you ask yourself a question and you don't feel this sensation, it's a no, even if you don't know what your no sensation is in your body. The more you practice this, the more this will become heightened, the more you will feel this energetic connection and, when you are ready, open your eyes back into the room.
Speaker 3:Thank you.
