Hello and welcome to another episode of the Modern Zen Collective Podcast. I am Nikki, this is a solo cast and we are talking all things energetic hygiene for empaths and intuitives. What is an empath and an intuitive? So I believe we all are. Empath is going to be someone who really feels the energy of someone around them, or someone that has been around them before and can even be at a distance. So if someone's having a hard time or a hard day or going through something, empaths feel it very, very deeply, even though it's not happening to them. When there are tragic events around the world, empaths feel it very, very deeply. When things happen to others, empaths feel it very, very deeply. Intuitives, very similarly, tap into energy. So intuitives are tapping into energy to be able to gather information, gather channeled insights, communicate those. So intuitives have their energetic field open as well. So, with this energetic field open, whether you be an empath or an intuitive, you are open to be a spiritual sponge and as a spiritual sponge, energies can really glom onto you to be fed to the light and also just be part of your energetic field. And that's what we're talking about today is to really have spiritual hygiene practices, just like brushing your teeth, because these can create such issues in your body, whether it be chronic fatigue or sadness or anxiety or stress or anger, or stomach upset or headache or feeling uneasy, whatever it is feeling. These energies and not clearing them, can really start to layer onto you and really create issues within your own body. And these issues are stemming from things that aren't actually you and, with quantum entanglement, string theory, this can be from someone you met at the post office a year ago that you're still entangled with and they're having an issue, but you've never done any energetic hygiene to clean yourself, so you're still picking up and feeling when they have issues. So today we're going to talk about what are some energetic hygiene practices that you personally can do so that you are clearing your energy at least once a day. I mean once a week also, if you want. But really the things that have the ability to clean your energy are so simple it's easy to do them once a day, truly, truly, truly.

Speaker 3:

So if you feel drained after being around people or you need quiet time to reset, you feel like you want to be a hermit, but you're usually a social butterfly. You're feeling these physical symptoms like headache, fatigue, dizzy, lightheaded. Of course, see a doctor. We're not saying don't see a doctor, we are not medical professionals but we are saying that picking up energy from others can manifest in physical ways in your body as well. So our aura field is like a sponge. Our aura stems out three feet, five feet, seven feet out from us, depending on how big our aura field is. That's something that our energy has decided how big it's going to be. Sometimes it's smaller, sometimes it's wider. That's just how energy flows and ways that you can help yourself with the spiritual hygiene can happen in the morning, for protection. Can happen during the day, in the middle of the day, can happen at the end of the night, before you go to bed, and we're going to kind of talk about all of them today so that you can sprinkle them in. Do one, do all whatever you'd like to do to help with your energetic hygiene so that you feel your best self, because it can get so energetically draining, and for us to show up as lightworkers to help move and heal the energy and the collective energy. Raise the energy so that we can all heal the planet. We need to take care of ourselves so that we can continue to heal. So let's talk about some ways that we can have our energetic hygiene.

Speaker 3:

One of the simplest things is that if you feel uneasy in your body, you feel anxious, upset stomach, upset headache, it came out of nowhere. You feel really weird. Say to your guides guides, if this is not mine, release it. Simple, so simple. But I'm telling you, majority of the time that does the trick, because we are holding things for others. We are like holding their luggage. So we're just holding people's luggage at the train station. Just, you know, just give me your luggage, hold on, I'll hold it. And we're just holding so much luggage, while this other person is, just you know, like skipping up and down the hallway, not holding any luggage, and we're holding it all for them. I don't know why that came up as the visual, but that's what came up. So, saying either out I like to say it out loud so that I have another energy behind it, the energy of voice, which is very powerful. Spirit, if this is not mine, release it. Huge, huge, huge, huge way to clean your energy and release something that does not serve you. And how simple is that?

Speaker 3:

Another way that you can, you know, cleanse your aura at the end of the night, before you go to bed, take a shower, not a bath, a shower. The shower, the water is energetic and it's cleansing. It's going to cleanse your body. It's going to cleanse your aura. It's going to the steam.

Speaker 3:

The shower, the whole ceremony of the showering was designed to cleanse your aura. Now we use it for actual physical hygiene, but the whole ceremony from ages ago, from multiple civilizations, was to cleanse your aura with this water that's raining down over your head, down your entire body. So, whether you are, you know, you went to the grocery store, you went to work, you went to the coffee shop, you worked out, you took a walk, you went to a restaurant, whatever it is. You took the train, you took an airplane. Oh my gosh, especially if you take public transportation, please shower before bed. You are holding onto so much energy from where you were and doing this ceremony of a shower before bed truly, truly cleanses you and cleanses your aura and cleanses the energetic space around you. Bonus points if you have an intention while you're in there and you say, as I shower, I'm cleansing everything that no longer serves me and I'm releasing anything that's not in my highest energetic field for my highest evolution. But you really don't need to say that. That's just something. If you want to have an intention behind it and have a ceremony with the showering, the showering itself does truly, truly enough for you to be able to have that energetic hygiene at the end of your evening.

Speaker 3:

If you can't shower or you don't want to shower, or another practice that you can bring in is visualizing green light like a green light laser coming down from your top of your head all the way down in this green color and energy encompassing your entire body. That is healing and cleansing. So that's cleansing everything out, this green energy. You can also do that for physical locations. So if you are going into a coffee shop or going into a workout class, you can visualize green on the doorway as you walk in and then, just like you're shooting a laser, you're just cleansing the area with green. Everyone there will energetically thank you too, but you're cleansing the area with green. So green is incredibly healing and with that healing, you're cleansing everything as well with this beautiful, beautiful green energy.

Speaker 3:

Something else to do we've talked about this before is, as you go to sleep, before bed, have a call upon to have protection for your soul while your body sleeps. So when we sleep, we are a completely open vessel. Our physical body, which is our protector, our shield, is out like a light, so with that, our soul is open to energies that can come in and penetrate our aura. Having a simple call upon before bed or making it as long as you want for protection really helps with so much in terms of your spiritual, energetic hygiene and your protection for the evening and for the following day. So the call upon for this can be as simple as I call upon my guides to protect my soul while my body sleeps. I surround myself with white diamond light energy to protect myself while I sleep. Thank you, you can add in anyone, any saints, anyone that you talk to, anyone. You can put anyone in there, anyone. My list is I think it takes me two minutes to go through my list of who I'm asking for protection is I think it takes me two minutes to go through my list of who I'm asking for protection so you can ask for protection as you are falling asleep and this truly creates that impenetrable shield around you so that you cannot be disturbed into your energetic aura while you are sleeping. We've talked about this before, but this is also why children can be susceptible to nightmares because their energy is so light and airy and so open. When they go to bed they are sadly open to negative energy that can come into their field because it's not protected. So teaching your children a quick call upon before bed really helps as well to protect that energy. But that's something that you can do as a preventative measure to help with your energetic hygiene.

Speaker 3:

Some other things giving yourself Reiki if you are Reiki one, so if you have level one Reiki, give yourself Reiki at the end of the day, going through your chakras with your symbols to be able to heal and cleanse. Or you can listen to and watch a Reiki healing cleansing on YouTube. There are beautiful, beautiful practitioners and you'll feel the energy within the first 30 seconds of if it's right for you or not. You can feel, oh, this feels very calm, this feels very relaxing, this feels great. You'll feel it rather quickly when you first start to listen to it. So there are beautiful Reiki practitioners on YouTube that you can look at for seven chakra clearing, you know, balance or selenite brushing and aura cleansing. You can find those on YouTube. You can listen to them at night with headsets or with a speaker, whatever you'd like, but this is also another way to have an energetic reset.

Speaker 3:

You can also listen to sound frequencies. We are energy. There is sound energy, frequency energy. So listening to frequencies solfeggio, you know, you can listen to that, a few of those to really help you to align and heal. Some that I particularly like are 432 hertz, which is an incredibly healing frequency that releases excess. You can find some on YouTube as well that releases some excess and really helps to heal. And then you can also listen to 528 Hertz. 528 Hertz is really the natural rhythm, really helps us to feel aligned, balances our nervous system really understands and level sets our energetic field and our nervous system as well. So that's something that is there for you. That is simple and easy. You can listen to it with headset or with your speakers. You don't really have to do much. You're just listening to it and being able to be healed while you listen to it.

Speaker 3:

Salt baths can help too. Having a salt bath, even once a month, can really help to release any energy. It Doesn't have to be a daily thing, but that's something that can absolutely release any energy as well, doing any shamanic shaking, so you can put on some music and just shake your body, shake out your arms, shake out your hands, shake out your legs, shake out your head. Doing shaking really helps to release anything that's stored in your body and you can put an intention behind it as well, to release anything as you're doing the shaking. There's no rhyme or reason into what the shaking needs to look like. Just put on a song three minutes to four minutes and during that time shake your hands like. Shake your hands like your hands asleep, shake it and then shake your head and then shake your legs and shake your back. Just shake it all out. And after you shake, spin to the left. I know, I know, what are all of these things? Crazy, but spinning to the left seals it in. So if you're facing straight, after you shake, spin to the left, come back 360, right to the middle in the front. You can always spin to the left, come back 360, right to the middle in the front. You can always spin to the left, 360 at any time to seal in your call upon seal in your Reiki seal, in anything. It helps to seal in what you've worked on.

Speaker 3:

Another thing you can do Qigong. Qigong is, you know, that beautiful slow energy movement where you're taking your time to move your body in very intentional ways. Another one that you can find on YouTube or find different practitioners that teach healing or teach release with Qigong. There's some beautiful Qigong practices out there that are 10, 15, 20 minutes long that really help to open up and release what's stored or stuck inside of you. So that's something as well that's there for you. That is a little bit more, I would say, physical than saying spirit. If this is not mine, release it, but you get to choose what you want to do. Breathwork, breath work is something that can really help you with release as well. Breath of fire can help to really get the breath going, release it, clear it and just get it out. So that's also, when you connect to the breath, that's something that will be able to release what's stored inside of you so that you are not this energetic sponge.

Speaker 3:

Some other things you can bring in for elements you know you can burn sage or palo santo. Always open a window so you can let out the negative energy, because if you burn this and you do smudging as you know it's called and you keep windows or doors closed, you're just keeping all that sticky energy in the house. So using sage or Palo Santo, to allow the you know energy to leave through a window is something that's really, really a beautiful you know ceremony to do. Even you know if you're doing something big like moving into a new home or starting a new job, that's something that you can do. Or it's something that you can do just in general in your home or in your energy. Of course, always look out if you have anything sensitive to smoke in your homes. You don't want to start a fire, you don't want to turn on the sprinklers or anything like that, but doing that and having that type of clearing and cleansing is something that is great in terms of the hygiene Using selenite Selenite is a self-cleansing crystal, so selenite is something that's really going to help with cleansing, clearing and healing what's inside of you, and with that, you can keep selenite next to your bed, you keep it with you, you can keep it anywhere that you would like it to absorb energy and it's going to have the self-cleaning ability, which is beautiful.

Speaker 3:

It doesn't mean you should never undergo a cleaning process. You know you can always do your own cleansing with it, but a nice selenite stone in your home is going to truly help to heal and with that we also want to mention well, I also want to mention that if you have crystals in your home, you know, quarterly, every season, have a reset and cleanse them because they are energetic, so they're pulling and picking up energy as well. So cleanse those crystals, find out do they like water, do they like you know outdoors, like what are the ways that you're cleansing the crystals? Otherwise they're just holding onto this energy that has been in your home and we're all human. So energy over three months can be a multitude up and down, up and down roller coaster, anger, sadness, anger, sadness, whatever it may be right. So you want to do that hygiene as well, with cleansing your crystals at least every three months so that you can have that clear energy as well.

Speaker 3:

Visualization and cord cutting is also a way that you can do spiritual, energetic hygiene cleansing. It can be as simple as you closing your eyes and visualizing, maybe just creating a ball of energy and having the intention of anything that no longer serves me or is not in my highest good goes into this ball of energy. Imagine a cord attached to you and to the ball. Use giant scissors to cut the cord and then pull out all the roots from your chest and throw them on the ground and then visualize that energy transmuting into light energy to go serve and help someone else. You can do that with anything with cord cuttings and you can also have it be with particular events or people or anything Cord cutting super easy, beautiful visualization and something that you can do.

Speaker 3:

Ho'oponoono is a beautiful practice and has a lot of research behind it as well. It is a practice of a mantra in meditation that helps to release any resentments that are inside of you and it really cleanses your energy and cleanses anything you are holding on to. So doing a Ho'oponoono practice whether that will be on your own or listening to a guided one from YouTube, is really going to help. There are even cases out there where ho'oponoono has been used to heal disease, to help those that have been incarcerated. There is a lot that goes on with this practice because anything we hold from a negatively energetic standpoint, including resentments, can turn into disease, including the big C, so resentments can definitely equal that. So you want to release anything in terms of resentments and ho'oponoono can also help with anything you're holding on to that's not yours and just to release the ego so that your body's not trying to hold on to it because it's safe.

Speaker 3:

Ho'oponoono can help to get through those layers of oh, I need to keep this because it's keeping me safe. A lot of times our subconscious can play tricks on us, that we think something that we, our subconscious, might believe is safe because it's familiar but it's not actually serving us. And Ho'oponopono can really help you with that Grounding. Actually grounding outside feet on the earth, whether that be in the grass or on the sand, is going to help you to reset and have that Mother Gaia electrical charge come through you so that you can really cleanse and clear yourself Truly. You want to do it for three to seven minutes I would say, you know, leaning towards the seven minutes as you can and do it without technology, so you're not doing it with EMFs around you because that's also going to negate the energy that's coming through. So having that beautiful cleansing energy of walking barefoot or being barefoot in some way, truly, truly helps to release and ground you and release what no longer serves you.

Speaker 3:

Another thing is forest bathing, taking a nice walk, walking through the trees. Trees are incredibly, incredibly healing. So, whether that be walking in your neighborhood around the trees or walking in a true nature preserve. That's going to help and cleanse you. And I'm not saying all these at every single day. You should do all 25 of these. We're just, I'm just giving you some ideas that you can use and sprinkle into your spiritual practice to have your spiritual hygiene so that you feel at your best and that you feel, you know, not drained. You can do and feel good.

Speaker 3:

Chanting the mantra OM, o-m, having that chanting for the mantra, two letters that have been said together for so long, they have so much power behind them. When you say OM, you know when you do the actual OM, you can do it, feel the energy behind it. This is going to be incredibly cleansing and healing to you as well, with the vibrations that it creates and with the energy that is behind it, with it being one of the most said words ever on planet earth, with all of that energy that comes behind it and the intention of that word that is said from those who are using it. And you have that energy as well while you are saying it and chanting. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful energy. Other things you know moving your energy, doing yoga, things like that in terms of moving your energy and having an intention when you move your energy to release. Often anxiety is trapped, energy in our body that's trying to find an outlet and a way to get out. And moving our body through anything in terms of walking or a practice like yoga or a particular type of workout, will release that energy. And you can have that intention when you do a workout or you do yoga or you do a walk to release what no longer serves you and keep what you need. Your body and your soul know what to do and you get to set that intention and move the energy in that way. And finally, this has been a long list of beautiful, beautiful practices for you to help with your spiritual hygiene and energetic development, to be able to cleanse and clear and heal and protect yourself Bells.

Speaker 3:

So whether you have a sound healing bowl at your house or you can listen to sound healing or go to a sound healing, or you have a bowl or a bell making that sound, oh, that helps so much, so much. The sound and the healing frequency of bells and of sound bowls really creates that synergy inside of your body. So whether you have one at home or you can go to one in person, this is another one where you can find them on YouTube to be able to listen to. You know beautiful sound healings with the singing bowls that are very similar, you know, to the frequencies that we just talked about, that were healing with the hurts and the sulfageo. But being in person for a sound healing or being in person to hear a bell chime, you know, for those of you that might live by a church and hear a bell, even though you're not right near where the bell is, if you hear it you're receiving those healing qualities from it. So that bell is really generating beautiful, rich energy to create that cohesive nature, that synergy inside of your body for body, mind and spirit.

With all of that being said, there are so many things that you can do for the cleansing and clearing and healing and the energetic hygiene so that you feel truly balanced and that you can still help others and serve and follow your purpose and follow your passions.

Speaker 3:

But know that rest is always super important. Give yourself rest, don't feel like you always have to go, so don't feel like all of these things are meant to be these fixes, so that you can just go out and do, do, do more, more, more. We are meant to rest. So honor your body, honor your ebbs and flows, honor when you need rest. These are simply ways for you to be able to protect, to cleanse and to clear your auric field, your energetic sponge, your spiritual sponge, so that you can feel your best self and be able to feel your own energies in your body. So, when you feel as an empath, when you feel as an intuitive, know that you are not too sensitive. You are gifted, you are spiritually deeply connected and it's time to honor that with this sacred protection that you can give yourself. I thank you for being here for this episode.
