You’ll leave with a portable routine you can use before a party, in a crowded room, or after a long day: three steady breaths, a quick root, a soft shield, and a closing affirmation. This isn’t about avoiding emotion; it’s about meeting the season with structure and warmth so you can choose how you show up.

In today's episode, we will be sharing one of the practices we use to help us release, receive, come back into alignment, and connect with the divinity within and all around us.

We hope you enjoy it and continue to join us weekly on the Modern Zen Collective Podcast, Elevating Your Mind, Body, and Spirit. And now, today's practice. This month we're exploring how to prepare your whole self, mind, body, energetics, and spirit for the holiday season. Today's practice is a grounding and protection meditation designed to help you feel rooted and safe as you navigate the busyness and social energy of this time of year. Now find a place where you can sit comfortably. Take a moment to inhale and get tall out of the crown of your head. Roll your shoulders up, back and down. Draw your belly in and then let it go a few inches. Slowly allow your eyes to soften or close. And begin to notice your breath. Take a long, slow inhale through the nose and a gentle exhale through the mouth. With each breath, imagine roots extending down from the base of your spine and the soles of your feet. See these roots weaving deep into the earth, anchoring you, holding you, giving you a solid foundation. As you breathe, feel the weight of your body settling. You are supported. You are grounded. You are safe. Now bring your attention to the space just around your body, your energetic field. Imagine a warm golden light expanding from your heart center, gently forming a protective sphere around you. This shield is strong but soft. It allows love and connection in while filtering out anything that does not serve your highest good. Repeat silently or out loud. I am grounded. I am safe. My energy is protected. Feel this truth in your body. Breathe it in and let it settle into your nervous system. When you're ready, imagine your golden shield softening just enough so you can carry it with you into your day. The roots remain. The protection remains. Now take a deep inhale and exhale slowly. Gentle wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you feel ready, you can slowly flutter your eyes open. You are grounded. You are safe. You are ready to move forward with strength and ease. Thank you so much for practicing with us today.
