The Power of Knowing Yourself: Human Design & the Magic of Operating in Alignment
The moment you stop forcing and start aligning, everything changes. Lizzy & Nikki dive into Human Design not as a personality label, but as a practical framework for making decisions, building relationships, parenting with ease, and finding that grounded sense of “this fits.” Together, we break down the five energy types—Generator, Manifesting Generator, Manifestor, Projector, and Reflector—and show how strategy and authority turn theory into repeatable choices that actually work.
You’ll hear candid stories that make the system click: soothing a toddler in seconds by honoring his “direct light” digestion style, embracing a partner’s irregular rhythm instead of fighting it, and helping a Projector child share guidance when it’s welcome so her energy lands. We walk through the core signals that guide your path—satisfaction vs frustration, peace vs anger—and how they act like a real-time compass. If hustle culture has you exhausted, learning to respond, inform, or wait for recognition can feel like a deep exhale.
We also share why accurate birth data matters, demystify neutrinos in simple terms, and point you to trusted chart resources and teachers. For those who want a clearer roadmap, Nikki’s personalized Soul Blueprint translates your chart into plain language with actionable insights you can reference again and again. The magic is practical: fewer forced yeses, more aligned choices, and a day-to-day flow that feels like you.
If you’re ready to swap friction for alignment, hit play, grab the reflection prompts at the end, and start experimenting with your strategy and authority. Subscribe for more grounded, holistic tools, share this with someone who needs permission to be themselves, and leave a review to tell us your type and what shifted.

Hi, I'm Lizzie.
SPEAKER_01:And I'm Nikki. Together, we welcome you to the Modern Sun Collective Podcast, a space where we explore holistic living, spiritual alignment, and personal growth.
SPEAKER_00:Each week, we'll share conversations, practices, and wisdom to help you live with more joy, purpose, and connection.
SPEAKER_01:For ancient wisdom to modern mindfulness, we are here to help you connect, expand, and come home to yourself. Let's elevate mind, body, and spirit together. And now on to today's episode.
SPEAKER_00:Hello, friends. Welcome back to the Modern Zen Collective podcast. You've got both Lizzie and Nikki here today as we start our month of December with our favorite things. So we are sharing our favorite tools this month, our favorite things, all the stuff that we are just loving right now. And one thing that we are both obsessed with is human design. It's one of our favorite tools for remembering who we truly are and really giving ourselves permission to live and work in alignment with our natural energy instead of fighting against it and doing things the way that society or our teachers or our parents taught us how to do it. Instead, we lean into who we naturally are and do things in a way that feels in alignment. So I love it. Nikki loves it. And we really want to share this with you today. So, Nikki, please kick us off. And I just want you to break down what human design is on a high level so that everyone can just understand where we're coming from.
SPEAKER_01:So, human design, one of my favorite things, I came across human design in 2019, and it was when I was doing my soul searching, trying to find out who I am, why I'm here, what's my purpose, all of those things. And human design, to me, and what I explain to others, is almost like a permission slip to be yourself. We're not all meant to operate in the same way. And a good analogy of that is how a ship has many different parts or a team has many different positions. All of those have to work together in unison so that everything can be cohesive and you can do everything in the right way for the greater good. And that's what human design is like. There are five energy types, and we all have our skills, we all have our gifts, we all have our magic, we also have the things that frustrate us, we also have the things that we are not meant to do. And through, like Lizzie said, societal conditioning, we often are pushing ourselves to do something we're told to do, but it's actually not our design. And when we live our design, we're almost riding the wave and coasting forward. And it feels natural once you start to get through that uh area of the leaving your comfort zone. Because if we're so used to doing something, even if it doesn't serve us, leaving and going into something new, for instance, for me, I need to prioritize rest. And that's something that is hard for me and something that I know from my human design, which we'll get into when we go to our types, that I have these bouts of energy and times where I'm meant to just hibernate and just relax and regroup. Uh so human design in and of itself, it's like Myers Briggs in astrology had a baby, just like to tell you. It has a lot of like the scientific side and the analytical side, but also the woo side. Um, you know, it's that mix of Aiching, astrology. Um, it has uh, you know, the chakras, West, you know, everything that goes on with that altogether. Um, Rauru Ru, he was the one who created it. And um, from my understanding, he was on a very spiritual, esoteric, trippy trip in Ibiza. That's where it got downloaded to him over the course of I think a month or a week that everything came down to him. So um he was able to download all of this down to human design itself is down to so much detail. There's a broad overview, broad strokes, where if you learn these, you know, top few things, you'll feel like you're living in alignment. But it goes all the way down to what kind of food should you have? What time of day should you eat? Where, what is your best living environment, things like that. So it's very fascinating to go through it all. And today, it's something that Lizzie and I use in our business, we use together. Um, and it's something that really helps you to remember and us to remember who we truly are and to work in alignment with the energy instead of fighting against it.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, absolutely. And so it's really easy to figure out what your human design is. All you need is your birthplace, where you were born, your birth date, and your birth time. So it's really important to have the correct time that you were born. So if you need to check your uh birth certificate or ask your mom or something, even the slightest change, like with 15 minutes difference in a birth time, can change your human design, your blueprint. So it's really important to have the right birth time. And the reason why we need where you were born, the time you're born, and all of that is because at the moment you were born, there are these wonderful things called neutrinos. It's kind of like stardust that falls from the atmosphere, from the ethers, from the cosmos. And those neutrinos come into contact with your skin the moment you're born. And so, and it helps create the energetic blueprint that you are getting in this moment in time in this specific place in the world. And so it's really important to have those things. It's kind of there is like Nikki was saying, there's this whole scientific side behind it as to why you have the human design or the blueprint that you have. And so if you're interested, we can link some of our favorite people that we listen to that are just high, high level experts in the field. Jenna Zoe is one of our favorites. And so we will link her podcast and her app in the in the show notes for you, which is what both of us use. But I am constantly pulling charts not just for myself, not just for my loved ones, but for my coaching clients. Nikki does that as well. She does it for you guys if you're interested, which we'll share a little bit more at the end. But one of the things that I used human design for most recently that has made a huge difference is with my children. As soon as they're born, you can run their human design chart. And like Nikki was saying, at a high level, there's some really great high-level pieces of human design, like your energetic type, your authority, which is how you make your own decisions, your personality profile, which is who you are internally and who you are externally to the world, your strategy, how you make your decisions, how you should respond to things. But there's also, like she said, a digestion style, which is how you digest not only your food, but your emotions, your thoughts, your feelings, all these different things. And for me, when I had my son Jackson, he just turned three a few weeks ago. I needed to find out how to help him when he was upset. And digestion, that's what I went to for him. His is direct light. So as soon as Jackson would get all upset, he's been out of shape, he's not hungry, he's not sleepy, his diaper's clean, everything's good, and he's still upset. I would take him to the window and put him in the sunlight, or I would take him outside if it was warm enough. And as soon as Jackson was in that direct light, I kid you not, it took him five to 10 seconds to calm down and he was fine. It's it's so incredible. It's so incredible. So that's why we're sharing this with you guys because literally you can learn these small things about you or your husband or your wife or your kids or the people that you work with directly on a day-to-day basis, and it can change your relationship. It can change how you respond to them, it can change everything with how you work with people in close relationship, not just yourself. So it's great. We have these, you know, these Clifton Strengths finder, we have the Enneagram, we have all these different ways to think about it in like a specific, like outside business way, but the human design takes the outside and the inside and marries them together as a holistic way of looking at how you function at your best and do things with the most ease and the most joy and the most love.
SPEAKER_01:I I love that story about Jackson. Like how amazing. Because we were talking off before we uh started recording about how there's all these societal norms and these books that were written, or the unwritten laws of parenting and the unwritten laws of what to do and not do. And it just seems like we're all meant to be constricted and confined into this one way of doing things. And here's this expansive way to look at why someone might be acting the way that they act or and and how how beautiful, how wonderful Jackson has a mom like you that's able to do that. And he gets so, I know when we're on our, you know, our calls and you're outside, he's always outside, he's always, you know, playing, he's always in that energy of the sun. And that's probably helping him so much just to feel like himself. And like even from a relationship standpoint, for for me, an example is my boyfriend Kyle, uh, his um, his energy type, the way that he operates is that he's meant to have a very irregular schedule. So he is meant to be up all hours of the night. He is meant to not sleep a lot. He's his his schedule, like the way that it's explained, almost looks like a heartbeat, like up, down, up, down, up, down, right? And when we first moved in together almost four years ago, I was really trying to control that, saying, you know, you you need to go to bed at 10, 11, 12 so that you can wake up and do your job and do this and do that. And I, I, you know, that's what I believe. That's what I know helps me. I need my sleep and everything. And I um, after learning about human design and his human design, digging into it, it's so eye-opening because he does truly function really high level when he does work until two in the morning or three in the morning. And then he wakes up for work and he's fine at work. And then he might sleep when he gets home for a little bit and he'll do like it's just a very different type of schedule. And there's a small percentage of people that have that in their chart. And I was just listening to a podcast, the Almost 30 podcast, and Glennon Doyle was on it. And Glennon Doyle said a quote that stuck with me. It was something like, um, you can either control someone or love someone, you can't do both. And I like that, like me trying to put these parameters around Kyle, you should do this, you should do that. It's gonna benefit you. How do like he's he's an adult, he knows what will benefit him.
SPEAKER_03:He's riding the wave and he knows what works. And now that I know that he's supposed to have these ebbs and flows, I'm like, okay, yeah, you are meant to be up all night or do this, or you know, sometimes we do go to bed at the same time, but typically not.
SPEAKER_01:So it can work for relationships, it works for your job. You know, Lizzie and I both know each other's. It's something that's really eye-opening to be able to look not only at yourself, but those that are around you.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. Well, let's get right into the top thing that you want to look for when you're looking at your human design, like the main piece, which is probably what you see mostly on social media if you follow people like Nikki and I do. We see it all the time. But um, it's your energy type, it's how your energy functions. And there's five different types. There's the manifester, the generator, the projector, the reflector, and then there is a hybrid, the manifesting generator. So, Nikki, could you share a little bit about what each of these five types are of are really showcasing in you?
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and and like I talked about in the beginning, every type is meant, one's not better than the other. So everyone has its own duty, its own way of showing up so that society can function in a full, you know, very aligned way. That's why it's very important to follow your type because if you're going against the grain, we're not going with the flow of what Mother Nature and what the energy wants us to do. So with the five types, they're also a percentage of the population. So generators are the highest percent, 36%. Generators are the life force, the builder, they respond um to what lights them up. They're the ones that are the doers. And that's that's something that is really, really important because if we have all ideas and we don't actually do anything about them, then we just do nothing. We're just hanging out in la la land. So that's why there's so much of the population that are generators because they're meant to um, you know, have so much energy, almost 24 hours. They have a lot of energy. They can go, go, go, they can do the things that they are meant to do. And then they're their invitation. So they they are invited to do something. So when someone invites them or they hear about something, that's when they start doing everything and start contributing in that way. And they make things um better by creating and structure and everything in terms of um how to create and build systems. And then there are the manifesting generators, which are you know a combination of manifester and generator, the hybrid, the multi-passionate, um, the one that um goes between the two, which I'll talk about manifestor in a second. But manifesting generators, 32% of the population. Um, they're also the doers, but they also are the visionary. So they get ideas and then they work in action and do action to do them. So they get the ideas and then they build. They get the ideas and then they create the systems to make that idea come to reality. So it's a very unique um way of being because they get to do both. And the manifestor, 9% of the population, manifestor is um the idea fountain. Like their crown chakra is wide open. And if they work on it and they do spiritual alignment, it's even more open. They have a direct hotline to the universe. They get ideas like it's going out of business, they'll go walk down the street and get an idea for someone who has a taco stand. And they, and they're the manifestor is meant to get all these ideas. They're not meant to do action for each one, they're meant to share their ideas, and then they're meant to inspire and they're meant to um inform so that other people can grow their ideas into the next wave of what's meant to be. When manifestor gets into the weeds and is going through the files and doing the organization and creating spreadsheets, that's when their energy is drained. They're meant to be excited and they're meant to grow and get these ideas and challenge a norm. A lot of um, a lot of leaders in, you know, past, when we look at past, you know, as much as you can about birth charts, a lot of leaders are manifestors because they're meant to be the visionary. Uh, the other um type, projector, 20% of the population. Projectors, um, they guide, they're a visionary, they hold wisdom for others. They're really good at holding space. So you might know someone who's just really good at being in silence. Um, I think of Dakota fanning, or not Dakota fanning, Dakota Johnson. Dakota Johnson was on Amy Pohler's podcast, and Amy Pohler said, You're just so good at um leaving space and not talking. And Dakota Johnson didn't respond. And Amy Pohler just starts nodding like, yeah, you're really good at that.
SPEAKER_02:So I can imagine she might be a projector.
SPEAKER_03:Like those times when you feel awkward, like just as a society, we might feel awkward when there's those like awkward silences.
SPEAKER_01:Projectors hold the space, they hold wisdom when they speak. You know that it's very intentional and it has a lot of impact. And you want to, you're like holding on to their words. What are they going to say next? And they also help to guide us through making things better. So manifestors have the idea, generators, manifesting generators, or the doers, visionaries also moving forward. Projectors are looking at it. Okay, you you took that to let's say halfway through the alphabet. Now I'm gonna help you close it out because I have a better vision, because I've been listening to everything and and absorbing, and now I can make it even better. So that's what projectors are. And then the the most unique type in the um human design uh types are is reflector. So reflector is only 1% of the population, if not maybe a little less than that. So they mirror, they're deeply intuitive, and they're very attuned to the environment. So these this is a very, it's a very spiritual type. They're very um, you know, they look inward, they have a lot of self-reflection, they had a lot of um introspection, they have curiosity about what's going on in the world from a spiritual standpoint, from an esoteric standpoint, from a standpoint of just society, what's happening, very attuned, very empathetic, very attuned to the the environment around them. Um, and they're they're meant as our tether to the ethers, our tether to that space between, that that um understanding that there's something bigger than us, and they're there to mirror us. So if you ever have someone who is quiet and slower moving, and maybe they frustrate you sometimes, that's beautiful because they're there to mirror what's inside of you that you need to heal. So maybe you're firing and wiring in a fast way, and this person's mirroring you to help you see that part inside of you. So they're really a beautiful help and teacher for us. So when you come in contact with a reflector, it's just such a such a gift if you have one in your life or you know anyone who is that that type as well. But all five types complement each other. It's really, it's a beautiful system, really fascinating.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, it is. And it's it's so interesting because I feel like you can take this and kind of look at other people and guesstimate this on a high level and also figure out how why you're so good at different things. Like I think, so I'm a manifesting generator. So I have both that visionary and that part that's the doer in me. And I think that can be really hard because sometimes people want to put you, well, are you the visionary? Are you the one that comes up with all the ideas, or are you the doer, the integrator, the one that creates all the systems and help them helps everything flow and all these different things? I'm like, well, I'm both, you know, I can do both. But sometimes you want to do one more than the other. You want to sit in one side more than the other. And so that can be a little difficult sometimes as a manifesting generator, but it's also fantastic because I can do anything that I really want to do at a certain point. Um, but it can be hard for other people to get a grasp on how I can fit best with them because I can do so many different things. Um, but then I have my husband, I have my son, Jackson, they're both generators. So they're meant to be here to do things that light them up. So it's very clear when they're doing something that doesn't light them up, and and then when they are doing doing something that lights them up. And it's like, okay, how can I take this task off of them? Because all I'm hearing is a bunch of grumbling and grumpiness when they're trying to do something that they don't want to do. That's funny.
SPEAKER_02:Kyle's a generator too. That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_00:Isn't it funny how that happens? You know, and you're like, okay, how can I get them? Because once they get going on something that they love, they'll just do, do, do, do, do, do. And generators are here to create, to generate energy. And so if they are doing something that lights them up, the energy that they're generating is great energy. If They're doing something that doesn't light them up, they're generating not so great energy. And so that's another piece to that. And then we got Nikki over here who's a manifester. So she's just like gets these hit it, hits all the time. Hit, hit, hit. Oh, we do this. Oh, we do this. Oh, we do this. Oh, we do this. So it's like, okay, well, how are we going to do these things? You know, or like, or is this a great idea to like let go and let someone else pick up this idea somewhere else in the world? You know, what can we do? Because Nikki has all the ideas for things that she might not necessarily have the energy or the people around her that can bring these things into the manifested 3D at this moment. So Nikki has to be very picky about the ideas that really feel good to her and feel aligned in this moment, or if they're great ideas for someone else, or if they're great ideas for later down the line. And then I've got my daughter, Blake, who's a year old now, and she's a projector. And I have been priming my husband for this because I'm like, look, our daughter is gonna have all sorts of ideas and thoughts about how we are not doing things properly. She's going to be looking at what we're doing and she's gonna say, Mom, why don't you just do it like this? Dad, why don't you just do it like this? Like, you're taking 10 steps and it could be three. You know, like it's so crazy because like the thing about projectors, like Nikki was saying, is they're here to make things better. They're guides. They're here to guide all of us doers, all of us people that are doing things on how to make things more efficient, on how to make things more beautiful, on how to make things flow easier and work better. So if you have someone in your life that is constantly trying to tell people how to do things better, they're probably a projector. And it's actually a gift. But the thing about projectors, which is why we need to learn even deeper into our human design than just the energetic type, is that projectors can get drained by constantly sharing these ideas with people who don't want to hear them. And so, like a projector's key is to know when to be quiet and when to share with people and really to share with people who want you to share with them. And so, for me, for my daughter Blake, I'm gonna need to be teaching her on, oh my gosh, that's such a great idea. That's such a great idea. Let's try it out. Let's try it out. But do you think that that person is ready for you to tell them how to do it better? Let's sit here and and let's like feel it out for a second. Do you think they want to hear it? Maybe you should ask them, you know, if if they're interested in hearing. You know, that's gonna be my job as a mom for her is to teach her how to find out when people are ready to hear it and when to take it back. Because we don't want people to be thinking that these beautiful gifts of ours aren't gifts because they are. And so it's just really interesting. I don't have any reflectors in my life, honestly. So I don't either. So this 1%, I need I'm gonna need to find a reflector somewhere. I need to find someone.
SPEAKER_01:Even looking at some of our our um practitioners, uh, yeah, we have to find we have to see a projector. But it's it's so interesting. That's so, I mean, first off, your kids are so lucky to have you that you're looking at things this way and able to show up in different ways for each of them because they are so different. And that's just showing how different each type is. Because as a manifester, a manifestor is quote called repelling energy. And what that means is that you say the thing that comes into your mind. And if it lands, it lands. If it doesn't, it doesn't. And it's for the greater good on both sides. Because if it doesn't land, that person's going to be piqued or energy's gonna move or whatever. And uh Hannah, who's one of our particle practitioners, Hannah Summerhill is also a manifester. And her and I talk a lot at length about, you know, we don't like the term repelling energy because we are nice people and we like, you know, we we like we were like to bring joy and we like to be happy and everything like that, as cheesy as it sounds. But we realize through our um understanding of what being a manifestor is is that that repelling energy means that when I have an idea and it's like, it's like getting at me, getting at me, and I'm not saying it. You know how you have like an intuition, intuitive hit, and you're not doing anything about it and it gets louder and louder. And when you do, sometimes the person might be, okay, yeah, that's yeah, get it totally. Let's do it, let's run with it. And sometimes a person might be completely repelled, but it's for the greater good on both sides because we need the polarity in the world. And that's a lesson for manifestors because as a recovering people pleaser myself, it is difficult, except in my relationship. I do tell Kyle whenever.
SPEAKER_02:In other things, he gets the brunt of it.
SPEAKER_01:But in other things, it's it's um, it's definitely, it's been a it's been definitely a journey to figure out um that it's okay for me to say the things that are coming up or to, you know, to leave situations that aren't serving me and just to decide and cut the tether when I need to. Um, because when I was go growing up, now looking back at how I used to act, I was really trying hard to be a generator. I wanted my head down, I wanted to not be seen, I didn't want to be on camera, I didn't want to be this, I didn't want anyone to know who I was. I wanted, I wanted to be almost like I was a ghostwriter and I did all this work and I felt proud I did the work, but no one knew that I did it. So it's definitely been a journey of getting over that shadow from the manifestor standpoint of still being seen, still working on that. It'll be, it's all, it's just something that is on my spiritual growth journey and stepping into what it means to be a manifestor. It it's it's so fascinating because there's so many types that have the invitation and that that's necessary. And there's other types that make the move forward, and one's not better than the other. It's just how we all operate, like that puzzle that all comes together.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, I love that. I love that. It's so, it's, it's like so crazy when you start living in alignment with your design. You know, it's one thing to learn what it is. And I think it always takes some time to start to live in alignment with your design. Like first you need to be like, okay, what is this human design thing? Okay, let me go put in my chart. Oh, the chart's really confusing to read. Okay, let's not read the chart. Let's have someone just break it out for me and tell me what each of these pieces in the chart means. And now let's focus on one thing at a time and choosing to live that way in your design. And it's just, it can change your life so drastically. We've talked about our energy type. So that's just who we are on the high top level, how our energy functions. But some of the other key things that can really change your life and how you live day to day is your authority, which is how you best make your decisions, your strategy, which is how you make things happen, and your sign, which is when you're on the right path, and your not sign, which is when to know you're not on the right path. So for me, I just want to start a little bit with the with the signs and everything. My sign to know I'm on the right path is I'm satisfied. And my sign to know when I'm not on the right path, my not self, is to feel frustrated. And for me, frustration is something that I have felt pretty often. Where now, when I feel frustrated, it immediately causes me to pause and ask myself, what am I frustrated about? Let's stop right now. And we need to look at this a different way and figure out how I am going to move forward. Because right now I am not in alignment when I'm frustrated. So, Nikki, what is your sign? How you know you're on the right path? And what is your not self? What is it when you're on the wrong path?
SPEAKER_01:My sign is peace. So feeling peace, inner peace. I I think of it as being content when I feel just complete, can I just happy? I feel good. I don't feel like I have to fix something. I feel at peace. Uh, even if I'm at peace doing other things like creating or something, you know, having those intuitive hits and et cetera. So peace is my sign that I'm I'm on the right path. Um, and my not self is anger.
SPEAKER_02:So when I'm when I'm angry, obviously, it's a pretty black and white sign for if I'm on the path or not.
SPEAKER_01:Um, so my um my sign is just uh being a like if I feel angry, I also I also equate that with frustration, like as well. But when I feel just really blow my lid, you know, not in a good place and um upset, um, or I feel like bound and constricted and it gets me angry because as a manifesto, I feel like I wanna, I need this fly and and grow. Um, that's my that's my not self. That's what I know, that's when I know something's not aligned for me.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. And so like mine is satisfaction, hers is peace. They're two good feelings. They're pretty close, but they also probably feel different, you know, to each of us. Same with mine is frustration, hers is anger. Both feelings that we don't like to have, but they show up differently for each of us, how we know we're on the not the most aligned path in the moment. So finding out those two feelings for yourself can be a huge deal as well. The other thing is like your strategy. And I know this shifted in my life a lot. So your strategy is how you make things happen. And for me, it's responding. So for me, things are supposed to come into my orbit. They're supposed to come into my life, and I am supposed to respond to them. And that is how I allow things to happen. I'm not somebody that's supposed to go out there and grab things and bring them to me. And when I think about my youth, that is how I tried to make things happen. Okay, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna do this, and it's gonna happen in this way. And things never happened that way. And so as I've gotten older, as I've gotten into the human design over the last five, six years, I have recognized that for me, I need to sit back and I need to let things come to me. And when they come to me, my authority shows up. Your authority is how you best make decisions. For me, I have a sacral authority. So that's my gut. My like, my gut is telling me yes or no. And so my body, when things come to me, I'm able to respond. My body is gonna tell me that is a hell yes, or that's a that's a maybe, which also means no. So maybe and no mean the same thing. Yes means yes. But for me, allowing to relax and allow things to come to me instead of forcing, hustling, this hustle culture, like going and getting things, making them happen. I'm gonna make this happen. That's actually not how I operate the best. Society might be telling me that that's how I need to do things. But for me, I need to sit back, allow these things to be presented to me and me decide from my gut, from my body, if it's something I should move forward with or if it's something that I should not move forward with at this time. And we always have the choice. This is the whole thing. We always have the choice. But why we're talking about this right now is we're trying to all to get you to a place where you can say yes or no, do things or not do things, or course correct with ease, with more ease. Instead of trying all the different ways to do it that society told you to do it, instead of just beelining it, cutting through all the bullshit, and just doing it the way you're supposed to do it, because that's gonna make things so much easier.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, so much easier. And everyone's different. And if we wanted to have a two-hour podcast, we could go through each of them and talk to you about each and every one of yours. And that's something we're gonna give you links for you, um, for the people that we love and that we look at um for charts. Uh, but you know, if these little things like the like what Lizzie's saying, like your authority, your strategy, it could, it could be the smallest way you show up in the world, and it makes such a huge impact on your energy and the people around you. And it doesn't exhaust you, like Lizzie's saying, as she was pushing, pushing, pushing, grabbing, grabbing instead and being there and allowing herself to be be the and be invited or be there and have something happen that she can respond to. So it's much, it's such a different outlook from the hustle culture. And for for myself, manifestors, our strategy is informing. So if I decide to do something, let's say I decide to uh buy a house in Portugal. I decide to buy a house in Portugal. I'm not telling anyone because I'm keeping it in my in my sphere and I'm not telling anyone to protect the energy. Well, there's people that are impacted by that. Maybe my brother, who would wonder why I'm leaving the country, maybe my partner, maybe like people around me. So the way that manifestors operate is that we our strategy is to inform those that are impacted by our decision. And that can be scary sometimes, especially if you want to protect your energy, especially if it's fresh, et cetera. But the longer we prolong not informing, the more weird and uh sticky the energy gets between the person impacted, where they might come to you and say, What's going on? Something's weird. Something's happening. So that's why we are meant to inform. It doesn't mean we're looking for permission. We're just pretty much like that bulldozer who's per who's informing and saying, Hey, got this ping. There's a house in Portugal for$45,000, has 20 acres of land. I put in a bid, talking to a realtor, just wanted to let you know in case it works.
SPEAKER_02:Like it's that it's that kind of energy, right?
SPEAKER_01:Like so it's uh because usually like that kind of energy, the forward motion's 80%, and you're just informing someone before it gets to the finish line. And then uh my authority, the authority uh for manifestors is emotional. So I have these waves of emotion where I have these peaks and valleys where I know I want to give myself around a 24-hour cycle to see if I'm still excited about something. So, like when I was car shopping, which I feel like took a year, I was trying to find the right car, finally did. But I would get very excited about a car and be on this high, high. And I could, you know, decide then and there to buy the car, but I know my emotional waves is I'll just wait until tomorrow. If I'm still on this high, high, it's time to get it. And if it, if the car is sold, it's it wasn't meant to be. And that's the way that I approach things is I know I have these waves of emotion. And the waves of emotion are just me letting the energy settle into my body and not living in the highs or the lows, just knowing that they flow. So we each have have these different other parts in terms of human design that makes up who we are. And it really creates this profile and this blueprint for how, you know, to have that permission slip to be and and act as yourself and to understand the people around you as well and how they show up and how to be best be there for them as well. What a beautiful gift, like Lizzie's with her husband and her kids to show up in this way for them, knowing their types, where there's so many books or unwritten books that we've talked about that are telling you to do something different and do the same for all three. So it's just a beautiful thing. We we love it. That's why I wanted to talk about it. We love this as such a beautiful tool to have in your toolkit.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, it's like the thing that if we would have all learned this when we were younger, it would have saved us so much headaches and like heartaches and just frustration and feel and feelings of not being good enough or not doing it, doing things the right way, like the way that we're taught in school, you know, to to think, to act, to decide, to choose, you know, all these different, all these different things that we were taught growing up. This is giving you this permission slip. We love, like we say permission slip over and over because this is why we do it with our clients. Like this is why both Nikki and I share this with our clients, because we are not the same people. If I learned anything when I was pregnant, it's that our bodies are all so individual. I could be the same time pregnant as someone next to me, and we are both thinking and feeling two totally different ways about how our pregnancy is. Well, why isn't that the same thing about our mind, our spirit, every single thing? We are such unique beings. And while there are generalities, the way you might be a manifester just like Nikki is, but you might have so many other pieces of that human design chart that are differently. I have heard from Jenna Zoe that she's ran hundreds of thousands, millions of human design charts, and she's never once seen one the exact same. So while you might have similar things to someone else, the way that they all fit together, that's kind of why we talked about, you know, our sign, our not sign, our responding, and how they all function together. Like all these things work together. And so you taking the time to really learn how your human design chart works together will change your whole life. It will change your whole life. And it's not just spiritual. Like we're not even touching the spiritual aspect of this at this time. We are literally just talking about how you move through your days, how you move through your work, how you move through your parenting, how you move through your relationships. And it's it's so crazy because when you understand how we're designed to move through the world, we stop trying to be somebody that we're not. And we start living the way that we were supposed to when we came into this world as little souls, as little babies. You know, we we learned so many things from society as we grew up. And all we're trying to do as adults, like fucked up adults, really realistically, you know, we've had all these things that have caused us to be someone that we're not. And we are doing all this time and effort and work to undo all of these things to get back to our true essence. So, how wonderful would it be if as adults we can learn this for ourselves and then we can bring up the next generation just knowing this. So they don't have to spend all this time in their 20s, their 30s, their 40s, their 50s, trying to get back to who they are at a soul level.
SPEAKER_01:Mm-hmm. Yes, of absolutely knowing this at that level, you know, those impressionable years, that theta brainwave state years, seven and under, knowing this and living in this way, how that creates your reality for your future and just knowing how to be yourself is such a I hope that it becomes more and more available to access and more talked about. So we all we we're told when we're little, you know, being unique, be different, etc. You're told one thing and then you are reprimanded if you act out or do something different or whatever, you know, we're given the this like uh back and forth and back and forth that we're trying to figure out what to do and and we're just trying to please so we can have that our survival needs met as children. And this is like having not only the parent but the child know this, and then society knowing this, just so what a what a beautiful, beautiful tool. Uh and With this, we're going to give you lots of options to be able to access and look at free resources. We also have a Soul Blueprint that I put together. It's on our website. It's personalized for you. It's over 20 pages, colorful, beautiful, ready for you. And it's originally 150, and we're offering it for 20% off for podcast listeners with the code podcast. So if you wanted to get that, it's on our website. And it'll have everything that you need that we've talked about and lots more. So you get your blueprint where you feel you can navigate and go back to when you want to see what's going on or you want a little tune-up, you can always go into your blueprint and see what's happening. There's also some intuitive guidance in there as well as I tap in as a manifestor and intuitive. So that's given to you in your chart as well.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, Nikki did one of these for me when I was part of her um group coaching client, um, group coaching container maybe two years ago. And I still go back to it. And it was so crazy because I remember telling Nikki it was the end of the coaching container and it had been some months. And I was on a flight with my blueprint printed out on the flight, and I was just looking at it, and it was so weird, be so weird. I say weird, but so, so divine that I I had literally just left a conference and I was like, man, I need to figure out how to be a better storyteller. I would love to be a better storyteller. And then on the, and I was about to like look up who I should follow, what books I should get, all this kind of stuff. And on the soul blueprint, under my gifts, like one of the gifts that she highlighted, which human design highlights a lot of your gifts too, which is awesome to be told how wonderful you are and all these things. The gift that Nikki highlighted on my soul blueprint was literally about sharing stories with other people. And I'm like, I'm sitting on the plane and I'm like, duh. It was like a hit hit yourself in the forehead moment where you're like, duh, the answers are inside me. What am I doing? Why am I trying to find somebody else to copy, somebody else to emulate, someone else to follow? Like, duh. And so it's so interesting because even you go, you can go. This blueprint isn't just for a one-time use. This is something you go back to, and this is something that I heard recently is when we go back to things at a later point in time, our spiritual evolution, our consciousness evolution is different than the first time we heard it, the first time we read it, the first time we saw it. So it is good to revisit things because we're different when we show back up to them and different things will stick out to you because of who you are in that moment. So, like this this soul blueprint that Nikki puts together, like this 20% off of$150, whatever that is, I don't care right now, is literally money or that you are spending on something that is eternal. This is something that won't change. Your human design does not change. And every time you come back to it, you're gonna find something different to tweak in your life to get just one percent better, to get 20% better. I mean, it's insane some of these things when you put them into your life and start actually acting on them and living the way that it invites you to live, how different your life can change. So I'll say, as someone who actually purchased, this is before we even started Modern Zen Collective, like purchased this little blueprint from Nikki and used it. Like it has helped me a lot. And even if it was just in that moment, even if I just got that, that literally saved me hundreds of dollars and and all these hours from me trying to go outside of myself for something that is already innately me. And I just need to tap into it more. So I highly recommend looking at it because Nikki is like gifted at putting these things together. And version two is even more beautiful than version one. It is really, really pretty. Yeah, it is really pretty.
SPEAKER_03:I I did do a lot of tweaks since you got yours.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, yes, you know, I'm not gonna get another one because I don't need another one, but you guys need one. You need the pretty version.
SPEAKER_01:And I I love that airplane story too, because often we look for answers outside of ourselves and they are within us. And we can, you know, have analysis paralysis and look at all the different ways that we can do something and learn, learn, learn, and not not actually embody or do what we're supposed to do. And that's a beautiful reminder, too, of like, you know, you were, you know, forehead, palm in the forehead. Yes, it's inside of me. Of course, of course. Yes.
SPEAKER_00:And then I journaled on it for like 10 minutes because I'm like, Lizzie, what is wrong with you? Like, you know, but we all have these moments where we fall back into the societal programming, into the societal patterns that we've picked up. And so this is that's why the human design is so great. It's like these things when you learn them about yourself, it gives you that awareness when you're in the moment, you can be like, okay, hold on. I'm about to go down some a path that isn't really feeling quite right. Let's pause. It's like tap back in. Like, how do I work? Okay, now let's move forward in this way. You know, we're not going down the main river that's been carved out by hundreds of thousands of years that the masses are taking. We're taking those little offshoots, those little windy paths that are that are just so perfectly ours. And so that's why Nikki and I wanted to share this with you because, like, we love human design. This is like one of those things that both of us have used and that all of our clients that we work with have used that has shifted their lives in enormous ways. So that's why we wanted to bring this to you this December. And I know this is like a very high-level, very like introduction piece to it. And that's why we want to introduce you to our experts, the experts that we follow too. So, like, step one, get your soul blueprint from Nikki and even like go and look up your chart. I'm telling you, if you look up your chart, you're gonna be a little overwhelmed because the charts are hard to read if you're not trained in reading them. But Nikki can spell it out for you really easily. And then we'll link our favorite people underneath as along with their apps and their podcasts, so you can dive deeper if you're interested. But like the way to start is to look up your chart or like really go get this soul blueprint. This is how you start is just by learning about who you are. And once you have a good foundation, you can start to learn about the people around you and the people that you affect.
SPEAKER_01:Yes. Yeah, and with you know, our favorite things, December, self-awareness, you know, having that self-awareness leads to freedom, leads to alignment, leads to joy. All the things Lizzie's talking about, it it helps you to feel that fulfilled energy and that you're living for who you are meant to be, charging your own path, doing the things that look different. You know, when you take a yoga class, Lizzie and I are both yoga teachers, often something we say in yoga class is you're not going to look like your neighbor. So that's exactly what it is in life. You're not going to have the same path as someone else. And that's a beautiful part of this, to be able to find for yourself and see even the high level first, the few things we talked about and journal on that this week and see if you're living in that design or if you're pushing against it. And how can you soften into what it is and see how that feels in your body, to take the time to rest if you need to rest, and that's part of your design, to re you know, to add wait for the invitation, to see if um someone's receptive to your feedback. All of these things start to, you know, change the energy up to live in the way that you are finding about yourself and see and journal how that feels in your body, because it's for Lizzie and I, it definitely changed the way that we show up and that we have our perception of what's around us and and our in and our people that are closest to us as well.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, absolutely. The last thing we're just gonna leave you with is that your human design is really your permission slip, again, your permission slip to live authentically. And so when you honor it, you align with your truth and your life begins to flow with more ease and grace. And isn't that what we're all here for at this point? Like realistically. So thank you for being with us here today. We're so happy to have you. And Nikki, thanks for sharing all your human design wisdom because she has dove deeper than I have in like an educational way for sure. So I highly recommend you guys checking out her soul proof blueprint.
SPEAKER_01:Thank you all for being with us and for listening and staying through to the end. We appreciate you all. We cannot wait to hear what you found in your chart and what impact you're gonna make around the world. So thanks for being here. We'll talk to you later all.
SPEAKER_00:So this week, set aside a quiet moment to explore your chart. You can find it on sites like Jovian Archive or with our favorite Jenna Zoe, we'll link that in the show notes. And all you need is your birth date, your birthplace, and the time you are born. So once you have it, you can look at what resonates most deeply with you. And here are a few questions that you can ask yourself. Where am I life am I living in alignment with my natural energy? Where am I trying to force or fit into something that doesn't feel like me? And what would shift if I gave myself full permission to operate the way I'm designed to? You can journal these reflections, share them with a friend, or simply notice what awareness comes up for you as you move through your week. Remember, alignment isn't about becoming someone new, it's about honoring the truth of who you already are. So thank you so much again for joining us on this week's episode of the Modern Zen Collective Podcast. We'll be back next week to explore numerology and the energy of 2026 and stepping boldly into that vibration of new beginnings, the year of the one.
